About Me
My name is Bryony Pollock, and I’m a wildlife and pet portrait artist based in Strathaven, Scotland.
Animals and portraiture have always been at the heart of my practice, but since returning to Scotland last year after many years living abroad, that passion has deepened. Surrounded once again by the beauty and character of Scottish wildlife, I’ve found new inspiration to focus my artwork more specifically on animals.
I studied Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in Dundee, graduating in 2006 with an Honours degree. After this, I spent many years teaching art internationally across Asia before returning home to build my own practice (and my studio) here in Strathaven. My work now centres on capturing likeness, light, and that intangible quality that makes every subject so uniquely themselves.
With nearly 25 years of artistic experience and a genuine love for what I do, I create realistic, character-filled portraits that bring each pet’s personality to life. My goal is always to produce a piece that feels alive and truly captures the spirit of your furry friend. Something that makes you smile every time you see it.
Commissions are available in a range of sizes, from smaller more intimate portraits to larger statement pieces, and can feature any animal from dogs and cats to horses and beyond. Each pastel painting is created with care and attention to detail, mounted to a standard A-size or a custom dimension of your choice for easy framing, and professionally packaged before delivery.
I also offer a selection of wildlife prints through my online shop. These high-quality prints come window-mounted and wrapped (just as my commissioned portraits do) at a standard A3 size, making framing simple, fuss-free, and affordable.
